The Theatre Royal Dumfries is bringing back lunchtime theatre with two incredible shows lined up for audiences to enjoy this May.
Head along and enjoy a light bite in your lunch break and watch world famous national theatre companies perform their brand new shows.
Rapture Theatre are leaders in touring world-class productions into the heart of local communities and create exhilarating performances of classic drama and timeless vibrant, modern plays.
Rapture Theatre will present their new show A Number by Caryl Churchill, following the story of a son who must face the consequences of his father’s devastating decisions.
Caryl Churchill’s powerfully disturbing drama is the winner of the Evening Standard Award for Best Play.
Monday 16th May at 1:30pm with a light lunch served from 12:30pm
Glasgow’s Oran Mor, world famous for telling stories from all across Scotland, are bringing their “A Play A Pie and A Pint” to the Theatre Royal for the first time as part of the D&G Arts Festival. They are presenting The Infernal Serpent which puts a devilishly modern twist on an old story to consider why – and how – we protest. Doors will open at 1pm for audiences to enjoy a local pie and a beer or soft drink before delighting in this exclusive 50 minutes performance at 1.30pm.
Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th May at 1.30pm with doors opening for lunch at 1pm.
